Wednesday the 6th of July, we had another visit from Team Santander at our centre in Wythenshawe. 16 volunteers came along and helped with cleaning and making our environmental learning garden fit for use.
It was a great day filled with hard work and cheerful chatter. It is safe to say that our garden, which features fruits, vegetables and herbs, has never looked better! All the hard work from the amazing volunteers from Santander is incredible valuable to us and we are very grateful for their support and time.
Furthermore it did not take long before the children benefited from Santander’s work. A couple of days after the children and young people of MYL were able to enjoy harvesting and of course eating all the strawberries that were growing in the garden. What a marvellous way to start summer! A big thank you to Santander, and we hope to see them again soon.
