MYL’s own Play and Youth worker Nozir Uddin, and Youth Engagement worker Lee-Ann Igbon were thrilled to be invited to afternoon tea with Eddy Newman, Lord Mayor of Manchester, on Wednesday 6th January 2018.
Nozir, Lee-Ann and the councillors for Hulme were joined by other some other influential members of the Hulme community. The afternoon was held as a ‘thank you’ to a few of the many key participants in the Hulme neighbourhood, for all of the hard work that is taking place.
Lord Mayor Eddy Newman has since tweeted “Enjoyed hosting inspirational community activists, alongside Hulme Councillors. Hulme has always had strong community leaders: I met some today.”
A special thanks to the Lord Mayor. Both Nozir and Lee-Ann thoroughly enjoyed the event, which got MYL’s 2018 off to a great start.
