Manchester Young Lives celebrated the third instalment of our Celebration of Success Awards on Thursday 4th July. Held at the magnificent Spanish Steps at Manchester Metropolitan University’s Birley Campus, the awards looked to celebrate the success and achievements of our children and young people.
As in previous years, the event was well attended by a mixture of young people and their families, MYL staff and trustees as well as colleagues from partner organisations.
The ten award presentations were punctuated by a series of fantastic performances from young people from across Manchester. Saints Dance Squad opened the evening with a ground shaking, foot stomping dance number which really set the tone for the night. This was followed by dance routine from young people based at The Addy Young People’s Centre which brought a little piece of Bollywood to Manchester! Next up was a drama piece, created in conjunction with Odd Arts after which Saints Dance Squad took to the floor again to finish the event.
Saints Dance Squad strut their stuff!

We are extremely grateful to all those who supported the event, especially representatives from our partners who took time out of their busy schedules to present awards to our winners. A special thank you is also needed for MMU for allowing us to use the Spanish Steps once more.
