Manchester Young Lives have several vacancies within our Detached/Outreach Engagement Team. We are looking to appoint:

Detached workers – 4 hours per week

Our detached workers engage young people aged 11 -19 within the community to promote appropriate behaviour, encourage positive activities accessible for the age range and reduce Anti-social behaviour through educating and engaging in a short period of time.

The successful candidates will be responsible for building a rapport with young people whom are/at risk of being vulnerable for a variety of reasons. They will promote local services/organisations/charities, which can be utilised by young people to encourage services are accessed.  They will also offer social action opportunities, to encourage young people to learn new skills and build confidence.

The roles are based in North Manchester, engaging young people in Moston and Harpurhey. and will involve working afternoons and evenings.
