Get Involved
Due to the diverse and ever-changing nature of the communities we work in, we encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved. The energy and enthusiasm of our workers coupled with the insight and experience of volunteers provides a fine balance in creating and realising opportunities for our young people, sparking their imaginations and sense of self, and assuring them of the valuable contribution they can make.
At MYL we pride ourselves on developing our people, and you need only look to our testimonials and success stories to see just how far volunteering can take you. We welcome college students thinking of university applications, those looking to enhance their CV’s and employability, local people with a keen social conscience, and those in retirement who wish to share their experience and support our cause.
So if you’re interested in working with young people, whether you have all the time in the world or a couple of hours a week, we’d love to hear from you. All that is required is the completion of our volunteer pack, along with relevant reference checks and satisfactory completion of an Enhanced Disclosure DBS Check. This must be completed before any work can be undertaken with children and young people. For more detailed information on volunteering please refer to our Volunteer Policy
If you require any more information then don’t hesitate to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you!
